Totalpost’s franking machine cartridges gain Royal Mail approval
Totalpost Services Plc (Totalpost) are approved suppliers and maintainers of franking machines, and they also manufacture and distribute a complete range of compatible cartridges suitable for use in almost all models of frankers supplied. Since the Office of Fair Trading report in 2005 which confirmed that the use of compatible cartridges must not invalidate the warranty or service contract for products supplied by the major franker manufacturers, Totalpost have been developing a range of products that give a quality impression and provide significant savings over the much higher priced original cartridges.
Royal Mail conducted extensive tests on the cartridges including thousands of impressions from original and compatible cartridges using all models of franker supplied by Totalpost, compared the results with original (OEM) cartridges then tested the impressions from Totalpost’s cartridges on their high speed reader sorters to check for colour suitability, readability and operation – and all products gained full approval. Before testing, all appropriate cartridges first gained CE approval and accreditation as part of the approval process.
Totalpost are the only independent supplier of ink cartridges and ribbons that Royal Mail have approved, and in other markets, the range of products are also compliant with the specifications of all other major postal authorities.
The products are available through a range of dealers in the UK and all major Countries around the World, and Totalpost also sell directly to their own customer base in the UK which gives them a first hand view of quality control and market acceptance, and is also an effective way to field test new products before release. Furthermore, since Totalpost are also Royal Mail approved suppliers and maintainers of frankers in the UK and have an extensive engineer force covering the whole country, they can quickly attend any field queries or provide training and advice to dealers about the correct use and marketing of the products.
