Totalpost enjoy Buckingham Palace Queen’s Award celebration

IMAG0609We were honoured to be invited to the Palace yesterday. Sadly it was not to meet the new baby Prince, but to celebrate business success. Earlier this year we were granted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, an accolade that we have worked hard to achieve.

David Hymers, Managing Director at Totalpost and Ruth Reed who is part of the main export team attended the event.

We had a very enjoyable time at Buckingham Palace and networked with other successful British exporters.

The Queen’s Award recognised three years of exceptional export growth spanning 2010 through to the end of 2012. We are continuing to grow and the award has accelerated our existing plans to open overseas companies.

Totalpost has achieved a great deal over the last few years.  A major factor in our expansion was the move in 2011 to bring manufacturing of franking machine cartridges in house. Previous to this we had our cartridges filled externally. We wanted to improve quality and delivery times and to do this brought the full manufacturing process in-house.

Once we had brought the manufacturing in-house we quickly started to develop a reputation for the David & Ruth Buckingham Palace 2013 2quality of our products. This has been instrumental in our export growth and today we are recognised as a leading manufacturer of franking machine cartridges.

We export to over 20 countries worldwide and today we have companies in the US, France and South Africa.

We attend overseas exhibitions and these have been vital in establishing export trade links. We begun by working with overseas dealers and built up our country specific expertise and export markets from there.

Increasingly we are adding more Totalpost staff on the ground in these countries as our market share grows.

Having now opened a few subsidiaries worldwide we now have a good working model to do this and this is accelerating the time in which we are able to roll this out into other countries.

Undoubtedly the success achieved would not have been possible without the efforts of the whole team at Totalpost. In August we will be having an official company wide celebration in which the official Queen’s Award presentation will take place at our head office. This will be a chance for the whole team to gain recognition for our joint achievements.
