Total awarded Cumbria Passport to Export Award

Total announced today it has been awarded the Cumbria Passport to Export Award 2006 in recognition of the effect of exports on its business following participation in the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) programme.

With the help of UKTI, Total has completed the Passport to Export programme and as part of a clearly defined export strategy, has also benefited considerably from using UKTI’s Export Marketing and Research (EMRS) scheme.

“Passport is an excellent and varied scheme that can be developed in a huge variety of ways and my congratulations go to Total Postweigh International for the excellent developments they have made with UKTI’s assistance”, said Clive Drinkwater, UKTI’s North West Regional Director.

Total has secured distribution deals in Poland and Hungary with business amounting to £70,000.

David Hymers, Managing Director of Total, received the award on behalf of the Company from Anil Ruia, NWDA board member, and BBC Television sports personality Adrian Chiles.
