Best Ever Transec
We’ve been exhibiting at the Transport Security Expo
(Transec) at Olympia, London for the last 4 years, but this year’s show has been the best by far.
The level of interest and the quality of these enquiries far surpassed previous years, we were happily kept very busy.
This year we have once again been displaying and discussing our broad range of X-Ray security screening equipment. It was apparent that the industry is now taking note of the upcoming January 2015 Dual-View regulations deadline as we have had lots of conversations about this at the show.
We brought an Astrophsics Inc VI7 Surroundview X-Ray screening machine to the show this year. This impressive piece of kit is an example of scientific excellence and is a first on the market offering 7 different X-Ray views of a screened item from one pass through.
Also generating interest this year was the fact that we have
recently installed the first ever 320KV powered Dual-View X-Ray screening machines in the UK. Mainly used by freight forwarders for screening cargo the extra power gives a deeper penetration and therefore allows the screening operator to see even more of the scanned object than has previously been possible. These machines are increasing in popularity and may soon become the industry norm for this sector.
Brand new equipment this year also includes vehicle screening devices from Astrophysics. This fast, efficient and very safe screening equipment allows the driver to safely drive through a system which screens his cargo without the driver having to leave the vehicle. This system is capable of screening at least 150 large trucks per hour.
There has also been interest in our cabinet X-Ray screeners. These compact but very efficient machines are available in 3 sizes and are used within prisons or mailrooms. They are ideal for smaller areas where security is a must.
Speaking about the Transec 2013, David Hymers, Managing Director at Totalpost says: “We’ve had an excellent, very busy Transec this year in which the level of interest and the quality of the enquiries has been very high, we have been very impressed.”
